GS500 import picture

I am trying to import pictures from my camcorder, but it's not working. Right now i have a cable running from the firewire on my MacBookPro to the DV slot on my camcorder & nothing is showing up on my desktop. This method works for video, but I really need to be able to do this for pictures ASAP. Help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi,to "read" the pictures on the sd card you'll need to use the usb port on the camcorder,right above the DV port.

With my GS500 and all my still cameras which use SD SDHC cards, I just pull the card out, put it in the card reader in my computer and move the images where I want them.

Your GS500 should have a usb cable, special for importing pictures. On the camera side, the connection point is just above the firewire connection. Mine has!
