Sharp VL-WD255 and pc connection

I just bought a Sharp VL-WD255 miniDV. However I am not able to connect it to my pc(windows me) using supplied serial cable and software(pixlab lite). I followed all the instruction in the user mannual,but nothing seems to work.

Can I get some help or suggestion?

Are you sure your cable works? You could try picking up a spare on ebay. If it doesnt work just sell it yourself (if you can)

I bought a 64 MB card for it which ends upbring 500 shots or so. However they are really low quality shots! And it is soooo slow recording AND putting onto pc via a serial cable. I would think it would be better to buy a digial camera.

I also tried putting in the card reader on 2 other computers and it was a no go. It must be in some wierd format instead of jpgs.

Use the still feature on the tape and you can use it on your pc later through your video editing software.
