new avid user, doogle question

i just instaled avid express dv 3.5 and when i open it it says that it cant find the doogle. what is the doogle?

the dongle is a USB "key" that is shipped with the software and is read by the program, really it's just a piracy protection tool that avid uses. Final cut pro does not have a dongle.
