Radio Interference? Help?
We have a PDX10 in our office in Tokyo. During recent shoots we have found that the camera is picking up radio frequencies from a nearby radio tower. It has happened with onboard mics, attached gun mics and with high quality cabled pin mics. It seems that the camera circuits are picking up the noise rather than the mics.
We have shot in the same rooms with the DVX100 and an older Canon XV1(GL1) with no audio issues. Has anyone had similar problems with this or other Sony cameras? If you have please let us know. Also if you have any suggestions for solutions, please let us know too. Thanks, TKOIND |
I've run into interference with my UHF wireless mic, but I've never heard of such a problem with the onboard mic. Were you standing next to the radio tower? :-)

The only time I have had interference with the audio is from the microphone picking up the pulse signals from a cell phone in the room.
