few questions about HVX200 p2
 

do you have to buy proprietary capture devices for the p2 cards?
why didn't panny make this cam able to shoot to mini SD cards?
(because they can make boatloads o' cash on their proprietary devices?)

what are the options for capturing video to PC?

There are several options. One being that P2 cards are made as PCMCIA cards. You can plug them into a PCMICA slot and use it like a regular drive.

Maybe MiniSD cards would not work. The P2 Cards use 4 high speed SD cards in a raid array. If you don't want them to make boatloads then don't buy the product.
