Thanks for the link, just saw the video and could see the difference. DV video looks a little blurry in comparison to HDV. Read in Wikipedia I think that the HDV audio has lower bitrate than DV...

Go for MiniDV or Solid State. HDD has a reputation of being fragile to drops.... you can lose a big bunch of information with a simple drop, not that you have to drop it but you never know...
