The new 8 gig SD cards in any of these new cameras that accept SD cards will probably do what your wanting and more if I'm not mistaken. So would direct recording to your computer hard drive I think.

or simply buy a Canon HV20 at B&H for $675 and have it all. The cheapest/easiest editing is with a Mac for about the same.
