Most Expensive in HC series?
You mentioned that the HC42 is the most expensive camcorder in the HC line. The HC90 is a considerable amount more. Maybe you should say it's the most expensive in the small line of HC camcorders,...

Prices in Canada
Hello devilry, in terms of prices in Canada, I got a wicked deal on my PD170 from a company called Mactronics. I actually went through my friends dad and he was able to get the PD170 with the NP960...

Ns
I've been wondering that myself...when in DVCAM mode, that NS goes away, but when in DV SP mode, it's there. I think becuase normally you express audio quality in either 12 bit (32k) or 16bit (48k)...

FLASH Digital Effect
I find I am able to achieve the film look very well with the FLASH digital effect mode on my TRV38 and PD170. I think the big thing about the "film-look" is it's not as smooth as video, it looks more...

Yeah...
Yeah, I understand what you are saying, and as I stated although The TRV38 does give a more orange tone to the video, it still holds up well against the PD170 or most other professional camcorders....

Now that I have been filming for short films and completed one longer film with my friends on my PD170, I decided that widescreen is the best way to go. However, I don't actually put the camcorder in...

HC85 to TRV39
I doubt that the HC85 replaces the TRV39. The only reason you are stating that is because the price points are the same. I would say it replaces the TRV70 or TRV80 camcorders. Every year camcorder...

Re: Slow Shutter Mode
Ok, thats not a TRUE shutter speed control, Sony considers it a digital effect. Granted, it does effect the shutter speed, but you only have 4 options, and there isn't much use for 3 or 4, it gets to...

Puzzling
I'm not really sure why they wouldn't have the VX2100E posted, but I know if you have PAL in the UK (which you do) you need the PAL camcorder, the VX2100E or like you said, if you want to record in...

PAL VX2100E
The VX2100 is a nice camocrder, but if you want to film in PAL at 25 frames a second, you are out of luck on the VX2100. You need to order the more expensive PAL version, the VX2100E (E presumably...
