You're right on target. Make sure you use Firewire rather than USB for tranfer from camera to computer. If you have WinXP you can download MovieMaker 2 from Microsoft. It's great for the price. (FREE)

I have not used anything except AE on my 22, however I did discover (the hard way) that "Backlight" does NOT toggle off when you turn the camera off.
