You do NOT have to install anything for firewire to work. If it is not recognising the camera it could be a cable problem or a XP issue.
The drivers you get are for USB which is only for jpg's not video.
Usually the first step in solving this problem is to uninstall the XP device in hardware device management and reinstall it. |
