Lights for the Optura 60
For low light I used all the lights on the camera plus a 3watt Sima light that fits on the hot shoe and two Camera Brite X1LEDs and it helps. But they only light up basically straight ahead. As far as the Camera Brite X1 I have an X1-ER which is supposed to be extended range up to 20 ft. and 6 ft. x 6 ft. coverage. It doesn't go quite that far and it not quite that wide but it is much superior to the standard X1 which has a shorter range. The nice thing about these lights is they screw into the tripod holder and they hafve a fitting for another light so you could screw in 2, 3 or 4 but 2 is plenty. Also on the Sima 3 watt lamp which fits on the hot shoe if I had to do it all over again I would have got a Cannon 3 watt light that works off the camcorder battery. As faras the automatic slow shutter goes I leave mine at 1/30th. Somewhere a few months ago I thought I read on one of these sites that is a way to get a better low light picture. Daylight pictures have been beautiful. Hope this helps.
