That is intrusting Mike, I think I'm close to learning somthing here.

In my experiance large photo images like 3000 x 1676 300 resolution will cause Vegas problems, to where it will crash so much that I can't get any more editing done. So I would shrink them down in Photoshop by changing the resolution to 72 it would then automatically change the frame size to 720 x 402. Doing this makes the image not as clear.

May be I need to just change the resolution to 72 and keep the original frame size such as 3000 x 1676.

I see that Vegas 9 was just released and one of the new features reads: 4K project support, up to 4096 x 4096. Does that mean Vegas will now accept photos up to 4096 x 4096? Or is it taking about something else?
