Digital Camera Not Working... Water Damage? Fall?

This weekend I was using my still camera, a Sony DSC-P52, near the water. My hands may have been wet while I used the camera, but I dried it off later. It was working fine. Yesterday when I was carrying it, it dropped in its soft case. It was not a long drop and it is a pretty sturdy camera, so I didn't think of checking it right after. When I tried it later, it was acting very strange. I have see posts before about people getting their camcorders wet, so I am wondering if anyone has any advice on getting it working, or if anyone can guess if it was the fall or the water that is making it do this.

I am going to start looking at new cameras, but any help with my sony would be helpful.

On a related topic, do you think these are very good: http://www.hedonics.com/store/prodi...tem=5&mitem=41#

They are expensive at $34.99 for the camera case, but I dont think there is anywhere else in Canada that sells them.
