I agree, I have both the Sony VX-2100 and the TRV950, and in low light, the VX2100 is far superior. I do a lot of low light shooting, (concerts, stage performances etc) and the VX2100 gives great video.
Don't get me wrong, the TRV950 shoots great video too, just about as good as the VX2100, provided that you have good ligting.
As far as the lux rating, the VX2100 is rated at 1 lux, whereas the TRV950 is rated around 7 lux I think.
