why do you think its the secondary battery if the cam doesnt turn on?

maybe thats the battery that keeps the time/date data on the cam when the main battery isnt attached

Hi,
the camera does not turn on because I fried the circuit that bring the power.
If u open the camera that circuit is 1 piece.
The circuit had the
dc plug (power plug)
external battery connection
secondary battery

All these 3 parts are connect through 1 circuit board.

I think that something on the circuit fried.
If I attach the dc power cord , using some wires, to the plugs where the battery attach, I start smelling burning....the circuit fried somewhere.
This circuit brings the power to the lcd and to the other half of the camcorder. This is the reason why the camcorder does not turn on anymore....
the problem is that this peac costs 100 dollars and needs to be backorder.
If u want I have the service manual.
I would be glad to share it if u want
tx
