I'm borrowing a PDX10 from a friend. I'd like to transfer the recorder video to my computer. It was my understanding that I just needed to plug in the IEEE 1394 cable into both the computer and the camera and Win XP would automatically recognize the camera. Then I could use something like Windows Movie Maker or Premiere Elements to capture the video.

However, I can't seem to make Win XP recognize the camera. Am I missing some extra step?

IEEE1394 port on a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card
