I usually suggest that people at least read Beginner's Camcorder Buying Guide and then go through the Camcorder Ratings which have links to the individual camcorder reviews. You might also want to read CamInfo Select 2005 by Camcorderinfo.com Editorial Staff which is for the 2005 camcorders. There are new camcorders being announced now for 2006 but there is nothing wrong with buying a 2005 model.
