No luck

So no luck. There's apparently nothing you can do and the camera is shot. The only hope I have of recovering anything is to send it back to Sony and have them supply me with a refurbished model. I cannot even begin to describe how disappointed I am with this product. I lost some of my most cherished memories. Sony has become a "has been" in the electronics space having lost out to every major competitor in every market and this will teach me to have put my faith in them. Back to Canon to stay.
