I'm pretty sure all the pocket cams use flash memory. The Flip series doesn't use removable media, so it's similar to using a hard drive in that once you fill it up, you have to delete footage from the cam before recording more. But most (all?) the others use cards. I don't know that much about the more fully featured cams, so I don't know if any of them use flash memory cards & if not, why not.
