Green/Blue Screen Compositing

Does anybody know if you can use Vegas to do compositing/superimposing of two video sources (...not talking about simple dissolves), or do need an effects program (i.e. Adobe After Effects)?
Any repsonses on the topic of NLE compositing is welcome!
