Which battery is better for the Canon GL2?

Im in the process of getting the Canon GL2 and want to invest on some batteries. I here a lot about VidPro Power 2000 replacement battery for BP-945. Anyways my question is should I invest on two Power 2000 replacement BP-945 batteries and a charger coming to a grand totoal of $150 (ea. battery $60 x 2 + $30 charger) or get two Canon BP-945 batteries for $220?

- If I go with Power 2000 batteries do I need a charger or will the charger that comes with Canon GL2 package work with charging these batteries?

-How much better is the Power 2000 batteries compared to Canon's BP-945's
Which ones work better, charge faster, last longer on full charge?

-Which are worth my money for investing on?

Any advice will help, Thanks!!!

I have a Power 2000 (BP-945 replacement) for my GL2 and it works great. And the price is considerably less than that of a Canon BP-945. I would definately get two (or even three) Power 2000 batteries before I bought 2 Canon BP-945's because of the price and the fact that the Power 2000's have not given me any trouble. The charger that comes with the GL2 works with the Power 2000 so you'd only need another charger if you wanted it for charging from a car battery through cigarette lighter adapter. Based on the numbers, the Power 2000 should last longer that the BP-945, but I don't have a BP-945 to test and verify that. There shouldn't be too much of a difference in charging times. The bottom line is that you get more (or at least the same) performance out of a Power 2000 for much less money, so that's what I would buy (and did buy.)

Thanks for your help I plan on going with the Power 2000 batteries for the Canon GL2 but how many hours can you get from using the replacement for BP-945 battery with the LCD? Same as the BP-945, around 3 hours?
Do these batteries always get a full charge of power even after 1-2 years of use?

I've definately gotten three hours use on a charge with the Power 2000. As for capacity after a years use, I can't say. I've only had it a couple months, although it seems to be holding up under heavy use.

I don't currently have one but based on the numbers (canon-4500mah vs power2000 6000mah) you will get around 30-40 minutes more recoding time using the power2000 battery

Yes I love the power2000 quality for the canon GL1, there is a new battery from power2000 with 8000mah I bought last week online for $86 and it was included with a charger
