no input signal from camcorder

When I try to record video into avid express, it says no deck, no input signal. I am using a sony pd-150 as a deck, and it works on other programs on my computer.

Ideas?

same problem, other elements

I got the same problem, but i can add that it worked perfectly until some day the system had the worst crash i've ever seen... reinstalled windows, reinstalled Avid (Xpress DV) and it couldn't receive anymore firewire input while other programs can.

Driver change

I'm guessing that your firewire driver could have changed.

When you turn on your deck or camera you should get a window asking what to do with the device. You should select take no action and always take this action.

Also make sure your deck configuration are set correctly inside the software.
