Post The Non-Authorized Mail Order Dealers!

The Non-Authorized Mail Order Dealers! aka "Scum Bags"

I have decided to make this list to help customers make the best buying decision when shopping for electronics through a magazine ad, or the Internet. It's amazing no matter how many warnings that are out there before someone buys from a "Scum Bag" outfit most of them in Brooklyn, NY aka King County, NY! People will still take a chance and go ahead and let themselves get ripped off.

This list will grow as it will take time to add all the names, addresses, and web site URLs for the list. Be careful and do your research before you buy. The best and safe way to do this is to go to the manufacturers web site and take a look at the list of authorized dealers.

Be careful out there it's a fraudulent jungle!

great info

I have seen a site called buydig.com they have thousands of 5 star reviews. Can they be considered a good company or are they writing their own reviews?

Anyone have first hand experience with this company?

thanks,
joe

Thanx XL

Thanks for the fast reply XL, thats good to hear. B&H is
selling the GS200 that I'm considering for 769 and buydig.com
has it for 689. I did call them and asked if it was guarn. by Panasonic
or by their own in house warranty, and they told me (verbally of course) that this is a sealed USA boxed item with mfg warranty.

I then asked if they would be calling me back to pressure sell accessories and they said we don't care if you buy them or not.

Guess for the price difference I gotta take a shot.

thanks again
joe

Everything looks good

I opened the camera box and everything appeared factory sealed. There was nothing missing and by the way it was packed and sealed you could tell it was brand new. I completley inspected the camera and no signs of any scratches or anything like that. It is a brand new unit. It works perfectly. I was able to register the warranty online with Panosonic. Now if the thing breaks we will see if the warranty is honored but so far it looks like i scored.

It is curious

Ya gotta wonder, why the big fluctuation in pricing. I even called B&H back. I said to them, their reputation was great and I'd like to do business with them. However, their price was about 80 to 100 dollars more than other internet competition i.e. Buydig.com.

They pretty much told me all the other guys are not good places to do business with. Truth or sour grapes?

Now I do know for sure there are quite a few of these sites
that by calling them scum bags is a step up for them.

See now I called back buydig and asked if they had a store from
that I could buy from. They said yes come on down. They
gave me the stores phone number. I called it to get location
directions. EVEN more curious now.... they answered the phone
Beach Cameras....

ahhh what the heck Columbus took a chance

They go by 4 different names. BuyDig, Store: Beach Camera plus they have a web site: called beachcamera.com, Beach Trading Company, and World Wide Direct I think that is the fourth name?! They are legit!

I have purchased 2 Digital8 camcorders from Buydig.com and both times it was a positive experience. But it has been a couple of years since I did. I would do it again if they had the best price.

Is dbuys.com a legit source to buy a camera from? They seem to have one of the better prices on the camera I'm looking at and have very good reviews. They worry me a little as their price is quite a bit lower than most others (that always scares me).

They are not legit. I would stay away from them, they have too many products on their site that they are not authorized for at all. Their ratings at Resellerratings.com look tainted, same person posting with different IPs using WiFi easy to trick Resellerratings.com in that way. They keep saying the same thing over and over again but changing the wording a little here and there. Real customers do not all sound the same with their reviews. If you look at most of the dissatisfied reviews that really tells the tale of DBUYS.
