i went to best buy today looking for a tripod. they had 2 sunpak models #7500, $89.99, 74.8 inches max and model #6400 $52.99, 63.6 inches max.

these prices are before a 10% discount.

i don't think they come with a case.

i just wanted to let anyone that is looking for a tripod know that these two models are very sturdy and seem very well put together. i've looked at tripods at another store in the past, and in comparison the sunpak models are far better in terms of stability. they also weight more - probably 5-10 pounds.

they also come with 2 of the pieces that you attach the camcorder to - i can't remember the name of that piece though.

i figure that we could find them cheaper online, but right now, i don't have time to do the search. i should get to it later tonight and when i do, i'll post where i found it cheaper.
