I´m using Video Studio 7, and I have a problem. I´m not able to use a cross-fading effect. The closest effect I find is the dissolve. I don´t like this effect. I´m quite surprised that I can´t find cross fade here.

By the way, to make sure that I´m talking about the right thing (I´m not english);

By Cross fading I meen that a new clip starts fading in as the last clip fades out. A very common effect used in movies. Thats why I think its strange that Ulead doesn´t have this effect. Hopefully they do, just that I can´t figure it out....

I've looked for that effect in VS8 and can't find it either. Maybe I can't see the wood for the trees, but I've looked all over for it without success.

They are both in the "F/X" menu

the cross fade transition is in VS 7 and VS8. In VS8 look under transitions and then under the FX type of transitions. In the FX type of transitions..you will find cross fade at the end of all the other FX transitions.
