Sony DVR-HC20

Hey all,
I am atempting to use Premiere Elements to capture and edit video from my Sony DVR-HC20. It is not in the listed camereas for sony in the device options. How do I get Premiere to recognize my camera, I've also installed the drivers already.

Are you sure the camera is even compatible with PE? It may be the case, but I'd call or write Adobe to find out, and if not they'll try to help you.

I have an HC-40 and it is compatible with Premier Elements so I assume the HC-20 would also be compatible. Can you get your computer to recognize the camcorder at all?

What type of a computer are you using and what is the operating system?
Are you trying to capture via Firewire or USB - it makes a difference.

Please give us more information so we can try to help.
