How would I add just voice to my videos?

I just want to do some naration to my videos.
I bought the mic, and now I'm trying to figure out what program to open to record what I want to say.

What is the best way? A way that allows me to look at the video while I'm talking, so I can say the right things at the right time.

hey i don't know if this applies to Adobe Premiere ELEMENTS but in Adobe Premiere Pro this is how we do it:

1. Go to the 'Windows' bar then select 'Audio Mixer'
2. In the audio mixer window click on the litte microphone picture above the track that you want to record your voice over on. (example if you want to record on audio track 2 click the mic over audio track 2 in the audio mixer window)
3. click the record button at the bottom of the audio mixer window then click the play button at the bottom of the audio mixer window and it will start recording all you have to do is talk.
4. when you press the stop button it will stop recording and your audio file will show up.

this is it, again i want to repeat this is for PREMIERE PRO, it should work the same in Premiere ELEMENTS. if not, let us know and i'll try to figure it out (if there's an option in elements that is to record voice overs) hope this helps. cheers.

Nick

Well I finally got around to that part of editing, but that option wasn't there in "window".
I haven't found anything like that on the program yet, but I couldn't imagine they would leave that part out.

I think a better way is to record the narration and lay it on the timeline. After that match the video to the audio. It's easier this way. Generally, you'll get a smoother narration.

Another way to get the narration in is to use the digital camcorder to record the audio. Then digitize the tape as you would normally. I've had to work this way a couple of times.
