Talking > Sony dvd403 authoring SOLUTION::::: !!

1. connect your camera via the supplied Usb cable

2. Transfer the data as you normally would with picture package

3. Copy the data to your hard drive.

4. View with picture package as you noramally do

5. Double click eack clip you want to use and click CONVERT AUDIO in bottom left, this will save the file as a different format.

6. In Vegas 5 import media and you will find you now have sound with your movies. Vegas supports 5.1 with an extra mpeg2 plugin.

7.Not sure what pictur package alters with the sound but iv just tested and burned a disk, picture quality ok and sound ok.

8.All you spielbergs out there rememeber me when u make ya millions ok!

ps. Adobe premier will bring in the original mpeg2 files AND keep the sound stream WITHOUT you having to convert with picture package.

now if only i could my g5imac on osx to even reconise the dam thing....

Glad you are happier now than in your other posts, but if you had read other posts on this topic you would have learned everything you listed in this one.

Hi,

I just had a question. Are you sure about Premiere not needing the audio from the cam to be converted?

Maybe you're referring to Premiere Pro? I have Adobe Premiere Elements and it seems that the audio from the cam isn't recognised. But as soon as I convert the audio in Picture Package, its fine. I'll try it again to make sure.

I'm kinda new to camcorder so I may well be doing something wrong.
