can't capture on laptop
I have a Sony PDX10, and am using Adobe Premiere 6.5. Currently working on a Dell Inspiron laptop with 256 RAM/80 GB hard drive (plus an external HD).
I just switched to the PDX10 last year. Used to capture and edit video from my previous vid camera (a Sony consumer level) to the Dell Inspiron, no problem. But with the PDX10, I have not been able to capture any video. I get a message saying "dropped frames" and that it can't locate the capture driver.
Have not had a chance to try capturing on a desktop, and won't be able to try that for some time (currently traveling).
So it seems like my problem could have 3 causes:
1) My Dell laptop's processor isn't fast enough for the PDX10;
2) There's a compatibility problem;
3) The PDX10 needs a different driver, which I don't seem to have.
Any ideas? Any input is much appreciated.
Thanks very much,
Doug
