Hi,

I am a prospective buyer of DCR DVD 403 from USA. I have also seen the model DCR DVD 803 in India .. Is there any technical difference between the two products or it is just a Market specfic products ?? If I get 403 from USA will it be supported in India by Sony??

Can some one help me in providing the info,

To the best of my knowledge, there is no feature difference between the 403 and the 803 unless it is output TV format (NTSC vs. PAL.) Read through the manual. It applies to multiple models, but I think you'll find that every paragraph that applies to the 403 also applies to the 803.

I have no idea on your warranty coverage question. That's one to ask Sony.

And here's the DCR-DVD405 Operating Guide for those of you that need it.

Nowadays, 405 is better than 403, buy that item. If you have PAL in India, better get a 803e (e comes from Europe - PAL). If you plan to order it online, buy it from a trusted company, such as Amazon in my sig, otherwise, you may have this surprise:
