Which Premiere Elements guide book should I buy?
Hi,
I'm a total novice when it comes to video editing and just purchased the Premiere Elements/Photoshop Elements package. Never having done this before, I want to purchase a guide book to Premiere Elements.
The three books I've seen the most on are:
1. Adobe Premiere Elements - Classroom in a Box - by Adobe Creative Team
2. Adobe Premiere Elements for Dummies - by Keith Underdahl
3. Premiere Elements for Windows - by Antony Bolante
Classroom in a Box comes with a tutorial DVD, which I like, but I've seen some good reviews on the other two as well.
I need something that will hold my hand, step by step, providing all the information and instruction, however I also want the book to provide all the details, from the most simple to the most advanced tasks possible with the program.
So, if I had to choose one book, which one should I choose?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I like computer based training rather than paper (book) based training - I like to try out the lesson on the computer for myself. The classroom in a box is the one I would pick.

hello,
i recently received #1 and 3 from your list. i haven't used either of them yet, but i have glanced through them.
if you aren't familiar with the software, i would say to buy the classroom book, because it starts from the begininng. i will be using this book first. i also think having practive video is helpful, which #3 doesn't have.
the bolante book seems to be more advanced.
like you, i couldn't figure out which to buy, so i decided that instead of buying one book (new), i bought both of them used, so i didn't spend much more for both, then if i would have bought one of them new.
i went through the book that comes with the software and found it very helpful.
i bought the bundle also and when i get around to photoshop elements, i will buy Photoshop Elements 3: The Missing Manual isbn #0596004532
the people on the adobe forums have been very helpful when it came to selecting books.
i hope this helps.
