PC-101 condensation error: help!
My PC101 camcorder has been showing the error like a droplet that means moisture condensation has occured, and it will not go away. I have followed the directions of the manual, leaving it out with the cassette deck open to dry, and after several tries it wont go away.
Any tips on what to do in this problem? Thanks

Moisture raindrop displayed in Sony camcorder
I have this moisture problem in my camcorder Sony TRV61E and a camera shop said he could fix it and to come back in an hour.It was fixed when I returned.
Next time it went on the blink I took it to a Jessops camera shop, try taking the small battery out of the bottom of the camera then put it back in as that can sometimes cure it.Yes, that time it worked...........
Now nothing works........even with a brand new battery.
When the raindrop appears it stops everything from operating.
Any clues on a proper cure please?

Do you get the error message of C:31:22 or something similar? Because I did with my Sony TRV, and I googled the problem... I came across another Camera forum and strangeley, it said to 'disconnect the power source to your camera (Battery and AC/DC) and the tape, then pick up your camera and bang it on your knee firmly a few times'... Now, I thought this was crazy.... But my camera is nearly 3 years old and I wasn't gonna fork out some more money to get it fixed... So I thought I'd try it and would you believe it, my camera works fine now! The picture quality has gone right up aswell, there's no more static on the screen. Now, attempt this at your own risk, but it honestly worked wonders for me.
Good Luck!

This sounds completely crazy. I gave it a try on my Sony DCR PC5 and it worked. Thanks for your help.
