cant capture video from PDX10 to Avid Xpress

Hi,

I hope someone can help. I have just purchased Avid Xpress Pro HD but when I try to record video into the Avid using a Sony PDX10 as a deck it says no deck, no input signal. Someone has suggested its because I need to download a driver for the USB port on my PC computer so that it can read the camera, is this right and if so can anyone advice me where I find the driver?

Many thanks, Tara

What does USB has to do here?
I dont think you will be able to capture anything via USB.
It is Firewire you need.
If you are going to acquire a firewire card beware of the chip on it as Avid is likely to refuse anything that is not powered by TI chip.
