I'd be happy to help, but I'm not sure I understand the question. What type of clips are they and where do you want to bring them in from?
What are the filename extensions?

basicly, I edited 17 clips separately and I want to combine them all into a single clip, like a large movie, instead of having 17 little clips. In other words, Is it possible to take all the clips on the timeline and make them 1 single clip?
thanks so much for helping me out

I'm sure even Windows Movie Maker would have no trouble with that. Just put them all on the timeline and save the project as a new DV/AVI file. That would make a single AVI.
Now you mention movie, you mean to play back with your set top DVD player and on TV? If you want to menu through it or not you could do it in Workshop also. In edit mode put them all on the timeline, in Menu mode select a menu screen and you could use chapters or the play all feature. Then go to the finish mode, and select burn DVD.
There are many set up preferences and mode choices for sure in this program. There is a full PDF file manual included in the software.
Stepping you through this is too tough to try. If you would like to understand Workshop well, there is a real nice DVD tutorial on ebay that a guy is selling, I bought one and loved it. Here take a look... trust me, for the 14 or 15 bucks he is asking ..... this is a super duper time saver!

take a chance on this, you won't be sorry. I watched this thing and understood the program very well, very quickly. I have absolutely no affiliation with this gentleman or his products. I was just very pleased with it and do recommend it highly. You can find tutorials out there for hundreds of dollars, this is well worth the 15 dollars.

I fixed it! I got a trial version of TMPGEnc Xpress 3.0 or something like that, and took all the clips and made them one file. The only problem I have now is:
I have 4.4GB out of 4.4GB put on my DVD and it says its out of room. Is there anyway I can suplement anything or cut down the quality or anything To make it fit on to the DVD?

Use DVD shrink.
