I have a MVX10i its like a Optura 300 I think. It takes 2 mgp stills. It is 14 months old.
It was not turned on and It went pop giving off a strange smell.
I sent it to Canon NZ and they say.

Repairs needed: Dismantle to replace CVFST PCB assembly, AL-EL capacitor, reassemble and test.

Repair cost: $416.45

The warranty was for 12months.

Has anyone else had any problems like this?
