Optura 600 Mic

Hello all,

I am very interested in purchasing the Optura 600, to upgrade my original Optura! Wondering if anyone has any "real life" experience with an accessory mic? I know it does not have a "shoe" but have read there is something at the bottom of the cam that you can attach a mic? If true, how, and any reccomendations on a mic?

Thanks in advance,

Rappy

You're referring to an "L" bracket that screws into the camera's tripod mount and provides one, and sometimes two, cold shoes for add-on lights and microphones. There is normally a handgrip on the vertical portion for improved handling.

Recommending a microphone is difficult due to the small size of the Optura 600. The good-quality microphones one might recommend are all much larger than the camera itself.
