Hi, i have a sony dcr-pc330e and am very happy with it, however if i leave it unused for say a week/ or run the external battery all the way down the camera loses its settings,time,date etc,etc.
my old sanyo had an internal battery which was easy to replace, but i rung sony and they quoted me £176.00!!!.
I have exactly the same problem, I sent my cam to be fixed for other issues too, but they didnt touch this.
I found where the internal battery is kept ( see my post) and, if no-one replies, then I think I will attempt to replace it myself.
Ill post up pics and progress if I do it.
