Easy DVDs

If you have some video tapes you want to convert to DVD in one simple step the August, 2006 issue of Camcorder & Computer Video has an article about a device called the Presto! Digital Converter. It's a tiny box you connect to your computer via USB and to an video device with composite or S video outputs like a VCR or Hi8 camcorder. It will convert your video and burn a DVD in one step. Or you can set it up to let you edit on the fly and cut out scenes you don't want before it burns the DVD.

Here's the link for more info.

I haven't tried this device but it looks like it might be good for folks with a computer and DVD burner who just want a quick way to convert tapes to DVD.

The article/review from the magazine isn't available on line.

Good luck.

Dennis

Humm....

Wonder how well it works. About $60. Read through the web page, a bit confusing to me...

Dennis, why don't you get it and try it out

Rich, if you're buying I'll be glad to give it a work out.

Good luck.

Can't I am on a very tight budget...

Besides $60 would be 45 beers in a "quality" bar....
