Does anyone have any idea what can be done about this, is it fixable or do I have to just buy a new camera?? I want to avoid that as much as possible, is it a simple resolution to fix it myself?? How much do you think it would cost to get it fixed?? I love my camera and we have to finish my film, any suggestions would be appreciated!!
S reel lock means that the supply reel in the mechanism is not turning, or not turning fast enough. Could be a problem with the mechanism (not user serviceable) OR a defective tape. Try a different tape; if that doesn't fix it, it's time for a trip to the service center.
I have exactly the same problem. My Cam is three yrs old and has a lot of hours on it. The problem is It is being used every week on paying jobs. At present I am daisey chaining to a Sony record deck, but its not possible all the time. Please let me know if you have any success in fixing the problem.
