I found this nice trick in another forum explaining how it is possible to overlay clips(picture-in-picture effect) in womble mpeg video wizard.
Skymist, I hope its OK to refer to your forum from here.
The trick is to embedd each of the clips with some dummy video and then combine them with a fade-transition with max. duration length.

Of course, it is not that simple like overlaying clips in Ulead Videostudio or any other NLE that supports overlaying but at least there IS a way to do this with womble.
