Why no extensive review of HVX200?

Dear Camcorder Info.com,

Why haven't you done a full review of the Panasonic HVX 200?

As soon as you get into beginning of these Forums just look at the sorting the 1st manufacture is Sony then Canon, Panasonic, JVC then Other? Looking at the Professional Cam Reviews Sony and Canon have the most reviews and Panasonic & JVC have the least reviews it follows the same tread as there Forum sorting.

Is Camcorderinfo biased, is the question? I'll leave that up to you.

The appropriate question might be, have they been able to get one to test?

I have nothing to do with the reviews but I think just handling over 150 camcorders is quite a task to accomplish

150 cams? Your setting yourself up for some dump questions which I don't want to get into. I do like this site and I would like to see equal "full" reviews on other manufactures like Panasonic and JVC, no just "quickie" reviews.

But what's the deal with Forum's manufactures layout not being in alphabetic order? I'm sure people running the website know their ABC's.

They are listed right here: http://www.camcorderinfo.com/ratings.php

I don't know exactly what you mean. The full reviews are all listed in the above URL's. The "First Impression" reviews are typically where they only get to handle the camcorder only very briefly. I guess that's the best they can do. I know they have had problems obtaining camcorders in the past and a variety of issues. They appear to try and test anything they can get their hands on, but problems do arise.

I don't know what the deal is. If you feel it is a serious issue Kerr Cook is the person to ask. Send a private message to him by going to: http://www.camcorderinfo.com/bbs/member.php?u=4327 Kerr is a fair guy, he has no qualms answering legitimate questions.

The HVX200 is a $5500 camcorder and probably not the target audience this website targets- hence the omission. Just my guess seeing as to how this site targets potential buyers looking to compare camcorders and not industry professionals.
I know they've reviewed a few camcorders that surpass this amount in price- but I'm betting they don't get nearly the page views a cheap $399 camcorder does.

I for one love the HVX and would have really liked their take on it- but I do understand the omission.

Hint: do a review- we'd like to read CCI take on it!

Maybe you'll see some more after NAB this year.
