If I purchase the Sony DVD505, what any/all accessories will you recommend to purchase? I will be using the camera for day and nite safari.

Depending on how much you want to keep the pic steady and your budget, look for a small steadicam + jacket outfit (about $1500 total), or a shoulder mount option ($300 or so), but definately get a LANC remote zoom! Trying to control the excellent zoom with the not-so-excellent zoom button on the cam is a challenge.

I use a Sony 870RM tripod which has the remote features built into the tripod, and a 5' jib arm setup with a remote pan/tilt and LANC remote (about $500 for a 5' version, about $700 for an 8' version).

Just depends on how much you're going to be moving around!
