Burning video to DVD

Is there anyone out there that is using Nero Ultra Edition 7 Enhanced software to burn camcorder video to a DVD?
If there is and you are able to burn a movie DVD of your camcorder video, can you please tell me how you've done it.
I'm using the trial version of this Nero program and for whatever reason, I cannot get it to burn the video from my computers hard drive on to a DVD.
Using Nero, I captured the video from my Canon mini-dv camcorder, to the hard drive. I used the DVD template when doing this. Maybe I'm using the wrong template but I want to make a DVD movie so, this should be the one to use wouldn't it?
Once the video has been captured, it shows as a NVE capture, MPEG movie file. Then I go through the whole process of trying to burn it. Everything seems to work alright up until it starts to write the "lead in". Then it goes no further.
However, I am able to burn a Nero Digital DVD, make a SVCD and a data disc all from the same video file. Unfortunately, these DVD's don't play in my television DVD player. They will only work with my computer.
I've spent/wasted, a lot of time trying to figure out this problem but, anything I try, doesn't work. So any help would be very much appreciated.
Paul
P.S. I have sent an e-mail to Nero(over a week ago) about this and have yet to get a response.
But, I guess there's always the option to call their tech help line at a dollar something a minute!
