XL2 and s-video output

I've got a pair of XL2s that I'm using with a NewTek Tricaster for live production. So far, I'm using the BNC video output to get the video stream from the cameras to the Tricaster, but would prefer to use S-Video. Haven't been able to get any output from the S-Video port on either camera on either record or play and figure that I'm probably missing a switch somewhere. No mention of using the S-Video port in this way in the manual. Anyone out there have an answer to this problem? Thanks.

There is a little switch next to the BNC connector, but I believe it is for switch from BNC to composite. S-Video should be live all the time.
