can record dvd and view on pc but not my tvs
Is there a solution for that? I've burned the dvds from the camcorder to the pc using their Picture Package software and can view the dvds on either pc. The Panasonic tv with a built in dvd player doesn't recoginize the dvd, neither does the stand alone panasonic dvd/vhs dvd player/recorder attached to another TV (and I can't figure out how to burn the mini dvds from the camcorder to the Panasonic dvd recorder either). Is there some step I'm missing? Another software I need to buy? (I refuse to buy another TV or DVD recorder to solve this problem). Thanks for any assistance!

What type of miniDVD are you using, -R, -RW or +RW? Some DVD players don't support all formats.
Also, what mode did you format the miniDVD in, video or VR? Only DVDs formatted in video mode will play in a DVD player, but PCs will play both modes.
If you have formatted your miniDVD in video mode, finalised it and your DVD player supports the type of DVD, you should be able to play it in the DVD player without doing anything else. You should not need Picture Package at all.
You can check if what types of DVD your player(s) can play here:

Wow what a quick response!
and I appreciate it! The dvd unit attached to the TV is a Panasonic DMR-E75V which reads/writes on -R & -RAM. The mini dvd I was using was the -RW (I'm now trying a +RW, which I'm sure is the incorrect thing to do). Having just purchased the camcorder, I'm going the simplest route for recording- the video mode. I did finalize the minidvd in the camcorder and tried to burn the DVD using the pc and the camcorder's accompaning software (as I can't get the camcorder to play on the tv after attaching the Av connecting cables to the front of the DMR-E75V as per scanty instructions in both devises' manuals). The tvs nor the pcs reads a miniDVD directly.

According to Videohelp, your Panasonic DMR-E75V should play -R and +R but not +RW and -RW: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers...by=Name&hits=50

This is a bit strange. The finalised miniDVD should play in the PC at least. Does a normal DVD play in the PC? If not, you might be missing MPEG2 and AC3 video and sound codecs. Try downloading and installing this one:

If normal DVDs do play, you might have a dodgy miniDVD disc. Try some different brands and formats of miniDVD and see if that makes a difference.

The camcorder must be in playback mode and the AV cable plugged into the camcorder's AV out port and the red, white and yellow plugs into the AV in on the DVD/TV. The DVD/TV might also have to be on the AV channel.
