Panasonic AG-DVC60
Hello. I have bought a Panasonic AG-DVC60 intended for the US market, and was wondering whether or not this can be used in the UK. Can it be switched to PAL? Or have I bought something I am going to have to immediately sell again

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the UK utilizes PAL format. So if you bought a US, NTSC model, then yes, you want the PAL model.

Yes, I am wondering if I can rectify my mistake by changing the machine from NTSC to PAL with a firmware download?

Hi
I'm pretty shure you can't find any downloads to make a NTSC to PAL conversion. I believe it's not only a firmware issue but also the CCD:s. The specifications for the different models shows different pixel numbers for the CCD:s on NTSC/PAL. There are more pixels on the PAL models, probably depending on the fact that there are more video lines in the PAL television system than in the NTSC television system.

its a few more things than a firmware fix, in short it cant be done, you can always just import the footage to your computer over firewire and export to dvd as PAL or something, but your tapes and camera shoot in ntsc, as a matter of interest if your selling i offer $1000 + delivery to ireland for it
