Where to buy DCR-DVD 505 online?
I would like to know for those already bought DCR-DVD505. What is the different between DVD505 & 405?
I plan to get it for my trip to Vietnam. Is there any suggestion, as far to get additional battery. Is the camcorder come with a battery and how long is the battery last.
thanks

I believe the 405 and 505 have been replaced by the 408 and 508.
Even B&H doesn't have the 505 any longer. You might have a hard time finding one from a reputable seller, but if you can.. the good news is it should be at a close out price. :-)
Hmmm... I see amazon.com still has it through a market place dealer for $789....... $190 off list price. Not a bad price. Plus Amazon will back you up if you have any problems.
I would *definately* get a spare battery.
As far as the batteries, I would go with the newer H series as they are supposed to charge much faster and last longer. than the P series.

With this charger you can charge in a car too:

thank you, Chrystie
My plan to take it for a trip, and don't want to bring lot of 1.4 gb disc. I think maybe the hard drive camcorder maybe work out better.
