Hi, I am planning on buying a PC1000 soon and Japanese versions seems easy and cost effective to get hold of.

That is, if you can change the menu language to English.

So, does anyone know for certain that you can change the menu language on a Japanese version of the PC1000 to English and how to do it?

I want to make sure before I get one. I know the controls on the camera will still be marked in Japanese.

I know there are many newer Sony camcorders out there, but I am only considering this model as it fits perfectly with my needs as far as shape, weight and image quality goes.
