Optura 600 Condensation problem

I've owned a canon optura 600 for over little more than a year now, just a few days ago I turn on my camcorder and the condensation warning flashes, I followed the instructions, ejected the tape, turned off the camcorder, waited. And guess what?? I'm still waiting, for the past several days I've been turning on the camcorder just to see the same warning message and it refuses to let me to record. The manual said that it would just take one hour for the water droplets to evaporate. I've been keeping the camcorder in a dry place with a stable temperature for the past several days too.

the bottom line: I'm just confused and frustrated, any help/advice would
be greatly appreciated, I've got some video projects I need to complete
for school.

thank you
