DU-21 Battery viewfinder and disconnection problems

I found this review on a non-original cga-du-21 battery (same as du-21 battery???) on http://pana3ccduser.com/article.php...GA-DU21-Battery
It says this battery has a 26% longer batterylife but for left-eyed viewers it is in the way + it gets disconnected very easily.

I'm looking for one or more batteries for the Panasonic NV GS-180, and I'd like to know what experiences you have with batteries for this camera, especially if you notice the same problems as stated in the review, but also of course about the battery life.

I find it quite hard to find a good battery because on every website the price is different and the claims for the lifespan of this du-21 battery range from 26% longer and 6 hours longer than the original. Shops that offer 'original' batteries for 20 dollars I don't believe either. How can a battery that's normally 100 dollars become 20 on another website? Sounds like a fake.

I btw need batteries that can be shipped to the Netherlands (Europe).

I forgot to ask also if the original and non-original cga-du21 battery look different from each other (one is bigger in height, the other in width). When I look at pictures on the online shops they look different.

I use the CGA-DU14 with my GS500. I prefer to carry two smaller batteries than one larger battery. The DU14 will give me more than an hours recording which is enough for me. The larger capacity batteries can also interfere with seeing through the viewfinder.

camNY:

I haven't heard of any long term issues with the larger batteries
